What drops from Parchment 1?

Lv.1 is your basic upgrade material box: Linen, Fabric, Chitin and similar. The drop list has 32 items and opening one costs 1,000,000 coins. Open them if you need mats right now; otherwise stack 10 and turn them into a Lv.2 at Shozin.

Short answer

Opening costs 1,000,000 coins for a Lv.1 Parchment, 3,000,000 for Lv.2 and 15,000,000 for Lv.3. Shozin combines 10 Lv.1 into Lv.2, 5 Lv.2 into Lv.3 and 4 Lv.3 into Lv.4. Lv.4 is the top tier with Hell Breaker, Dark Vane, Wreath of Erenion and a guaranteed +7 scroll.

Parchment 2: +6 High Class gear and KC

Lv.2 hands out High Class items already at +6, which skips the early steps on the way to +8. That matters because the High Class success rates fall off hard after +3. Mage Staff, Priest Holy Animor and Smite Hammer are on the list too.

It also has three KC rewards: 1,500, 850 and 250 KC. The list is 22 items long, opening costs 3,000,000 coins and 5 of them make a Lv.3 at Shozin.

Parchment 3: Shell sets, unique weapons and accessories

Lv.3 drops +6 Warrior and Rogue Shell pieces. For uniques you're looking at Sherion, Avedon, Enion Bow and Dread Shield, and the accessory pool has Legionnaire Band, Hero's Valor, LKP, Lillime's and Flame Ring (FR).

That is a 30-item list with a 15,000,000 coin opening fee. Hand 4 of them to Shozin for a Lv.4.

Is Parchment 4 the best tier?

Yes, Lv.4 is currently the top. Weapons: Hell Breaker, Dark Vane, Wreath of Erenion and +6 quest weapons. Special accessories: Ring of Courage, Ring of Life and Skeleton Belt. There is also a 100% +7 Upgrade Scroll, and the drop list runs to 31 items.

Those weapons sit high on the server's weapon ranking. Dark Vane tops the Assassin list, Wreath of Erenion tops the Mage list and Hell Breaker is top three for both Warrior and BP Priest.

The site's Chaotic drop list shows slightly different counts (28 rewards for Lv.2 and 32 for Lv.4) and also has a Lv.5 Parchment with 49 rewards. There is no opening cost or Shozin info for Lv.5 yet.

Where do Parchments drop?

  • CR: Lv.1 Parchments come from Collection Race.
  • Party MS: the bosses drop random Parchments.
  • Draki: Parchments are on the boss drop list.
  • Bosses: the server intro page says Lv.2 and Lv.3 come from bosses and Party MS.

Parchment drops and tiers grow with the Tuesday and Friday updates, and Parchment is one of the headings on every Tuesday update in the server calendar.

FAQ

Should I open Parchments or combine them?
Combine if you are chasing top-end weapons or accessories, since Lv.4 has Hell Breaker and the +7 scroll. Open Lv.1 straight away when you need mats fast.
How much does it cost to open a Parchment 4?
The player guide doesn't give an opening fee for Lv.4. It only lists it as the top tier along with its contents.
How much KC does a Parchment 2 give?
The list has three KC rewards: 1,500, 850 and 250. Which one you hit is down to the roll.
Where do you combine Parchments?
At Shozin. It takes ten Lv.1, five Lv.2 or four Lv.3 to move up a tier.
